英国女王电视讲话，鼓舞民众团结一心

英国时间本周日晚上8点，英国女王伊丽莎白二世准时开始了在电视上进行全国演讲，演讲的主题将是鼓舞民众团结一心，“自律而坚定”地去战胜新冠疫情。

这段演讲的视频是在温莎城堡内提前录制好的。据悉，是由一位身着防护服的摄像师单独进入温莎城堡的白色会客室进行录制的，其他工作人员则都在隔壁等待。

演讲全文

I am speaking to you at what I know is an increasingly challenging time. A time of disruption in the life of our country: a disruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, and enormous changes to the daily lives of us all.

我知道现在是一个越来越具有挑战性的时刻，但我还是要对你们说几句话，

疫情让整个国家陷入混乱，这种混乱给一些人带来了悲伤，给许多人带来了经济危机，给我们所有人的日常生活都带来了巨大的变化。

I want to thank everyone on the NHS front line, as well as care workers and those carrying out essential roles, who selflessly continue their day-to-day duties outside the home in support of us all. I am sure the nation will join me in assuring you that what you do is appreciated and every hour of your hard work brings us closer to a return to more normal times.

我想感谢所有NHS的一线工作人员，护工们以及那些还坚持在关键岗位上工作的人们。他们离开家，无私奉献着自己，支撑着我们的日常生活。我相信所有民众和我一样感激你们！你们的辛勤劳作让我们的生活可以尽快回归正常。

I also want to thank those of you who are staying at home, thereby helping to protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones. Together we are tackling this disease, and I want to reassure you that if we remain united and resolute, then we will overcome it.

我还想感谢那些响应号召宅在家的人，你们保护了那些脆弱的人群，使许多家庭免受失亲的痛苦。我们现在正在共同应对这个疾病，我向你们保证，如果我们保持坚定和团结，我们就一定能战胜这个疫情！

I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge. And those who come after us will say the Britons of this generation were as strong as any. That the attributes of self-discipline, of quiet good-humoured resolve and of fellow-feeling still characterise this country. The pride in who we are is not a part of our past, it defines our present and our future.

我希望，在不久的将来，每个人都能为自己成功应对疫情的挑战而感到自豪。我们的后人会说，我们这一代英国人像以往一样强大。我们国家的特征依然是自律，心平气和的决心，同心同德。我们对自己是谁的骄傲不是过去的一部分，它定义了我们的现在和未来。

The moments when the United Kingdom has come together to applaud its care and essential workers will be remembered as an expression of our national spirit; and its symbol will be the rainbows drawn by children.

全英国人民为医疗员工和关键岗位的工作人员鼓掌的那一刻，将会当成我们的国家精神被铭记。而小朋友们画的这些彩虹，也将代表着我们国家精神的一切。

Across the Commonwealth and around the world, we have seen heart-warming stories of people coming together to help others, be it through delivering food parcels and medicines, checking on neighbours, or converting businesses to help the relief effort.

在英联邦和世界其他地方，我们看到了很多暖人心的故事。我们互相帮助着不同的人，把食品和药品送到需要的人的手中，问候邻居们，或者用自己的生意来帮助其他人。

And though self-isolating may at times be hard, many people of all faiths, and of none, are discovering that it presents an opportunity to slow down, pause and reflect, in prayer or meditation.

虽然自我隔离时常让人觉得很艰难，但是一切有或是没有信仰的人，都发现，这是一个放慢手头的事情，而进行自我审视的好时机。

It reminds me of the very first broadcast I made, in 1940, helped by my sister. We, as children, spoke from here at Windsor to children who had been evacuated from their homes and sent away for their own safety. Today, once again, many will feel a painful sense of separation from their loved ones. But now, as then, we know, deep down, that it is the right thing to do.

这让我想起，1940年，在我妹妹帮助下我做的第一次广播演讲。作为广大儿童的一员，我们在温莎向其他因为战乱而被迫离开家园的儿童，发表讲话。今天，如往事重现，我们当中的很多人，也感受到了亲人离去的痛苦。但是现在，我们跟那时一样，知道我们现在要做的一切，都是正确的选择。

While we have faced challenges before, this one is different. This time we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavour, using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal. We will succeed - and that success will belong to every one of us.

虽然我们之前也面临过种种挑战，这一次，却不太一样。这次我们跟全球其他所有国家一起，共同努力。 用我们不断发展的科学，以及我们独特的热情，来治愈这一切。

We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return:

我们会成功的。成功必将属于我们的每一个人。我们都要知道，虽然我们未来还要经历很多，但是好日子最终会到来。

we will be with our friends again;

we will be with our families again;

we will meet again.

But for now, I send my thanks and warmest good wishes to you all.
